Life Story- Leondardo's parents split up, his mother moved away and married and his father rasied him. In total he had 17 half sisters and brothers, from both parents. He was a vegetarian because he loved animals too much to eat them. He was also left handed.
Leonardo studied under the wing of Verrocchio in his workshop. At the age of twenty, Leonardo qualified as a master in the Guild of St Luke, the guild of artists and doctors of medicine. He entered the service of the Duke of Milan in 1482. There he developed a habit of recording his studies in very well illustrated notebooks. His work covered four main themes: painting, architecture, the elements of mechanics, and human anatomy.
Leonardo continued to work in Milan from 1482 up until 1499 to do some traveling. He returned to Florence on October 18, 1503. Sadly on July 9, 1504 he heard that his father, Ser Piero, had died. Leonardo didn't inherit any of his fathers belongings because his meddling brothers and sisters split it up and shared it all between themselves. In 1506 he returned to Milan. From 1513 to 1516 he worked maintaining a workshoin Rome. Leonardo died on May 2, 1519 in Clos Lucé, France.
